My name is Sam Shearer, and I am a thrill seeker.

I grew up on the outskirts of Jackson, Mississippi, a place afire with charms, struggles, and paradoxes of life in a distinctly Southern way. As I saw and experienced these things firsthand I developed a passion for stories in all forms: fiction and nonfiction, visual and audial, irreverent and consequential.

I learned my storytelling trade at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia, and now edit video and audio content, with the chief goal of bringing the strongest feelings I’ve felt in my life to the stories of others. While I am an avid enjoyer of outdoor adrenaline activities (rollercoasters, snow skiing, soccer), it is through stories that I find the most thrill.

I have had the opportunity to edit narratives, documentaries, experimental films, music videos, trailers, reels, and branded content. My experiences traveling (44 states, 16 countries) have turned me into a sponge of stories in all mediums, and that is reflected in my work. Whether it’s a rush of adrenaline, a spark of insight, or a swell of emotion, I want to CREATE thrills for seekers like me.
